We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

This year the Aysgarth walk will take place on Sunday, 19th May 2019. It is a fantastic family Sunday activity as well as providing an opportunity for us to raise money for the RNIB. This charity is right at the centre of Aysgarth School as Archie Hare, a pupil in Form 6, has a vision impairment. Archie, through his time at Aysgarth, continues to impress us with how he faces the obstacles his vision impairment presents him in day to day life. RNIB is one of the UK’s leading sight loss charities which provides practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK.  The money raised from this walk will go towards the Children, Young People and Families Service which supports anyone with a vision impairment from 0 to the age of 25.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
