I'm raising money for the Silver Star Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford which was where I was treated for my high risk pregnancy with Ayla Kay. Without the treatment I received we wouldn't have our beautiful baby girl. Due to my thrombosis I needed daily injections of a blood thinning drug and regular scans to ensure she was getting enough blood.
1 in 10 women have a complication pregnancy and need specialist care. Unfortunately the Silver Star Unit level 6 maternity ward has faced closure twice since Ayla was born. The NHS cannot afford all the high resolution machines that they need and so I'm doing my tiny bit to help raise £100k so they can continue doing even more life saving work.
If just 20 of my friends give £5, I'll reach my target. Every pound you give will be matched by BP effectively doubling your contribution. I'm running 2 x 10k races on 15th and 22nd May. Wish me luck and thanks for your support.
