Story
On the 25th September 2021 we will be embarking on a hike to Pen Y Fan which is a peak situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park to help raise funds to provide clean drinking water to the people in Yemen.
In Yemen, 18 million people are in urgent need of clean water. Access to clean water for drinking and sanitation is a basic human right for all. According to the UN, only one third of Yemen’s population is connected to a piped water network. This has led to major outbreaks of cholera and Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD). In the 2017 outbreak, more than 1.3 million people were infected and over 2,800 people died.
The people in Yemen are still at risk of water-related diseases, including orphanages and villages. Please support us in raising funds for this vital appeal. Any and every donation of any size will be greatly appreciated. Please also feel free to share this with any family or friends, the wider this appeal spreads the more lives we can help.
Thank you all for your support.
