Story
I’ve enrolled in in the first “Fitprints for Good London to
Torquay Cycle Challenge”, supported by my employer MUFG.
Thanks to MUFG’s continued commitment to contribute to the betterment of society and the “MUFG Fitprints for Good” initiative, I now have a great opportunity to raise funds for the “Lauren Sport for good” charity.
The Charity (funded by Nelson Mandela) provides opportunities to children and young people to take part in sporting activities as a way to help them overcome violence, discrimination, and disadvantage.
I have started cycling seriously three years ago so that I could share a hobby with my cyclist husband. However, within a few months I was truly hooked by this sport, which allows me to stay fit both physically and mentally.
I belong to local cycling clubs. If you are out and about in the Kent countryside, you may well bump into me while I am out training on weekdays and weekends. I feel so privilege to be able to cycle and I truly appreciate every moment I spend on the saddle.
This charity ride is my way of contributing toward giving disadvantage children a chance through sport – something that has helped me throughout my life.
Our MUFG team is made up of twenty enthusiastic cyclists. We will be pedalling about 200 miles (320km) over three days. An epic journey, which I am so looking forward to take on with my MUFG colleagues.
Your support and generous donations will be greatly
appreciated.
