Thanks for taking the time to visit my page, those of you who know me, know that I haven't been well for a little while now.
I've already had surgery to try to remove the cancer and unfortunately it is elsewhere in the body. This therefore means that I've got an intensive 12 week chemotherapy course ahead to try and remove this deadly virus from my blood.
So instead of shaving my hair off in vain I thought I should really give something back to those who have helped and need it. It was only today that I realised how much Macmillan do for people, every piece of literature that the doctors use is provided by them. I feel now is the time especially as the specialist unit I am going to be receiving chemotherapy in is sponsored by Macmillan and the recent upgrades were paid for by them.
I've always tried to do my bit for charity and this time round it is something that is clearly quite close to my heart. We raised money for cancer research our wedding due to my father dying from cancer. My Father raised circa 200,000. for the local cancer care unit but unfortunately with my cancer I cannot use that unit as I have to have close observation.
Now I feel it's time to give something back to those directly helping people trying to survive this deadly disease.
Macmillan do so much to support patients, families, friends but I bet people didn't know how much they do to support the NHS.
So come on people, whether it's 50p or 50 pound please find it in your heart to donate.
