We are raising money to support the fantastic work that Avenues does working with people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injury or dementia. We are proud of our work to support people to live independently in the own homes and through our Active Communities Fund we are able to work with people to equip and furnish their very own first home. There is no statutory funding to help people making the difficult move from a hospital or assessment and treatment unit into their own home, so our Active Communities fund gives them the financial support to be able to  buy their own belongings, sometimes for the first time in their life. Everyone is entitled to be able to make choices about where they live and how to furnish their homes, so with your help we can make that happen for more vulnerable but amazing people.
