Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2017 I was deeply affected by the tragic loss of Rescue Helicopter 116 and its crew. I think of them and their families and I dearly hope that the two missing crewmen will be found and brought home. I have so much respect and admiration for the people who work for the rescue services and the work they do.
A month ago I signed myself up to complete the woman's mini marathon. My aim... get off my arse and maybe loose a bit of weight!
I recently saw a post on Facebook from the Irish Coast Guard, below is a snippet
"In many towns and villages around our coastline the Irish Coast Guard's closest working partner, and friend, is the RNLI. RNLI and Coast Guard crews work side by side with a united goal of saving lives at sea and on our coastline.
It costs €2,559 to kit out an RNLI crew member and they rely solely on donations to fund their operations. This Mayday please consider donating to the RNLI and supporting the amazing work they do along our coastline."
I have run to catch a bus, a plane, last orders at the bar, sometimes even first orders at the bar, but never for fun or a real purpose. I have never fundraised for something personally so I have no idea if this is achievable but I would really love to achieve it. My goal is to raise a minimum of €2,559 and I would be ever so grateful if you would help me achieve it. Whether the money comes in or not.... I will complete the 10k on June 5th for the RNLI and the Irish Coast Guards. Thanks you.
