Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - I have created this page on behalf of my daughter, who's story is below.
My name is Ava-Rose and I am 8 years old. I want to do my part to try and help the children affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
As a child, it's hard to understand what is going on in Ukraine, and why. But the one thing I do know is, hundreds of thousands of people are running away from their homes, leaving everything behind, to try and stay safe and protect their families. Children are loosing their homes, and leaving their valuables, their toys, their clothes and everything they have behind. Whilst we sit at home, warm and fed, with toys and all the things we want around us. - I feel so upset to think about what is happening to these children, They've done nothing wrong to deserve this they must be so scared and frightened.
On Saturday 5th March I will be completing a 4 hour cycle of the Humber Bridge. I will be trying to complete as many lengths of the bridge as I can. My parents tell me that this might mean cycling for more than 20 miles! But that's ok Every mile that I will be able to cycle will be worth it, As it's for those children that have lost everything.
UNICEF are appealing for help and donations to support their campaign to help protect the children of Ukraine. I want to try raise as money money as possible for their cause to keep the children safe.
I hope you will support my cause, and I'm excited to complete my cycle challenge and hopefully raise something to help those children in need.
