Story

On the 6th of March 2023, our flatmate Louie passed away due to an undetected brain tumour. Although we didn’t know Louie for very long, his presence and character brought warmth to the flat. Whether his peas were spilt on the kitchen floor, he fell asleep on the sofa after a night out with his Chelsea flag as a blanket or walking into the flat saying “aye up” every time without fail. After he passed, the flat was quiet without his whistling and singing. Louie was a healthy young man who took very good care of himself, therefore no one suspected he was ill. Even if he wasn’t feeling great he always had a smile on his face.

We are completing this challenge to raise money in memory of Louie to help find cures for the other 130 brain cancers that take away the lives of children and adults everyday. Any donations would be greatly appreciated, and by sharing this fundraiser it could also help others who are experiencing a similar situation and give them hope for a possible cure.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
