Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, in memory of the indomitable Fiona Coveney (Field).
I have been walking and building up my running, with a half mile challenge to Rowhill and back, to get fit enough to run a mile in memory of Fiona.
Fiona chose the charity before she died, the Oak Foundation Drug Development Unit, which formed a key part of her treatment and care, and which is funded by the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Her resilience was outstanding and such an example to us all - she lived every moment with such a great sense of humour!
I have known Fiona since she was born and her family for 70 years - she went to my mother's kindergarten and rode with me when she was young at the Balcombe Riding stables, taking part in one of my earlier musical rides, on her little pony Silver.

I was so impressed by her acceptance and her upbeat and courageous attitude to the end, this inspired me to decide to run a mile for her.
