In March 2012, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Within days, I was at The Royal Marsden, Sutton having a battery of tests and on May 1 I had my operation.  In June, I had a 4 week course of radiotherapy.  John and I were looked after so well and this walk is our way of saying a huge thank you to Jenny Rusby (my surgeon), Anna Kirby (oncologist) and Team Mayneord (radiotherapy team).  They are all genuine heroes!
