We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

Whats happening?

On 12 December 2018, Atlantic Discovery set off from La Gomera in the Canaries, in a 25ft boat loaded with almost a tonne of manpower, supplies and equipment, to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. The journey tested our mental and physical endurance beyond anything we had faced before, draw on all our courage, resilience, camaraderie and spirit.

Our goal...

To raise £10 per mile we rowed for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Why are you doing it?

"My mum Rose has lived with MS for just under two decades.  Every day is a frustrating struggle, yet she overcomes her symptoms with sheer determination and grit.  She has taught me that one grows as a person by overcoming adversity.

"Atlantic Discovery chose to row for Rose (#row4rose), to raise awareness of MS which affects 2.5m people worldwide, and support their vital research. Our total fundraising target for the MS Society is £30K, which we hope will make a difference."   Ben Ajayi-Obe
