Yemen is in the midst of a humanitarian catastrophe, yet after three years of intense fighting, it has been dubbed "the forgotten war."

2021 - The outbreak of the Coronavirus has been catastrophic, and could lead to further unimaginable crises. Years of conflict has left the country facing the worse famine of the century, with UN estimating that  130 CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 DIE EACH DAY FROM HUNGER AND DISEASEThe number of reported cases of Covid-19 in Yemen, as well as the number of fatalities is rising every single day.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The people of Yemen have come; they have the most tender hearts. Faith (Iman) is Yemeni, understanding (Fiqh) is Yemeni and wisdom (Hikmah) is Yemeni."[Muslim]

80% of the population are dependent on humanitarian aid and Yemen's infrastructure has been devastated by five years of conflict. Covid-19 leaves even more people vulnerable and without food. Without even basic health facilities, millions are at huge risk.

2020- The crisis in Yemen is described as the world's largest humanitarian disaster. Today, Yemen is on the brink of a famine, and in the coming months, thousands are expected to die due to lack of food and medicine.- 22 million people in need of urgent humanitarian aid- 60% of the total population are food insecure- water sources are contaminated, sanitation systems are failing and only half of the health facilities function- The UN has described the crisis as 'catastrophic and rapidly deteriorating.
