Last year Helen Graham and I were pounding the miles on the treadmills and she told me about her family's plan to raise money for the Rainbow Centre in Stephens memory. She was thinking of entering the London Marathon and I said I would do it too. Helen won't be running in April, but I will and whilst I didn't know Stevie I know Helen and her family and know that their support of the Rainbow Centre is a carefully considered, highly personal and wonderful thing. The right to a good education and decent medical care is something I always took for granted as a kid, but these children  in Aluthgama are not in that privileged position and the Rainbow Centre can make a huge difference to their lives and prospects. It's a pleasure to be a part of this.

Running is something I love doing and running in the London Marathon is a dream come true, so running it fast is the target. I am aiming to cross the finish line in under 3 hours and 15minutes and set a new PB. Those long training sessions will be made all the more worth it if you make a donation to the Rainbow Centre!
