On World Homeless Day, which is on Tuesday 10th October 2017, staff from Green Park, Microsoft and Reading International Business Parks are sleeping out at their respective business parks to raise money and awareness of sleeping rough and helping to prevent homelessness in the winter months and all year round. We are raising money for a local charity Launchpad Reading who provide valuable support for those as risk.

Colleagues from the Investec Asset Finance Group of companies are signing up to sleep out to try and understand what it's like for those who are homeless. The aim is to be as realistic as possible in experiencing sleeping rough for just one night. It is not aiming to be comfortable, and it won't be a party. The average temperature for Reading at this time of year is just 8 degrees overnight. It will feel cold without question. We will be bedding down on the very cold hard concrete of the RIBP car park. The only saving grace is a little protection from the elements as we will be under cover with our cardboard boxes and sleeping bags. And, we will be back to our desks the following morning for a full day's work.
