My name is Ashley Turner, I am running the 2019 Virgin London marathon to raise money for Mencap a charity very close to my heart. 

In 2012 I met my partner Chloe, who has a younger brother who is diagnosed with autism. Harrison is now an 18 year old man who has some challenging years ahead of him when he leaves school. It is only since I met Harrrison that I realised the lack of understanding towards people with disabilities and the negative attitudes society hold regarding such an important subject. 

It is because of this I want to raise £2000 for Mencap who on daily basis support young people adults and children just like Harrison. 

Mencap's mission is to transform society's attitudes to learning disabilities and improve the quality of life of people living with a learning disability and their families.

Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated towards this amazing charity and to support my run in the 2019 Virgin London marathon
