Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
November 6th 2009 17stone 9lbs After starting a contract for Haig Homes in Portsmouth in Novemebr 2009 I weighed myself and got a nasty shock when the scales topped out at 17stone 9lbs. I decided I was 44years old and needed to do something about it. I vowed to eat more healthily by cutting out bread and crappy foods and began running along the seafront each night, continuing throughout the winter months into the spring and now the summer. I have continued to run and have been a pain to Anne by getting up at 6am even throughout our 3 week holiday in to run 10 miles in 80 degree heat before the sun came up. Now over 9 months later I have lost over 45lbs (just over 3 stone) and reduced my waist by over 5 inches. I have been training hard and increasing my dice and speed progressively over this time and have entered a couple of races over the coming months. Working mostly for Haig Homes who are a Charitable Trust providing housing for ex service veterans. After having met many of these tenants while working at different locations throughout the I decided to try and raise funds by gaining sponsorship through completing a race in the coming months. The race (with a twist) that I have entered is the Mens Health ‘Survival of The Fittest Race’ on October 17th. This is basically a 10km obstacle course run around !!! Please help me raise as much as possible to help these people who have given so much of their lives to help our country.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
