Story
A man of my stature isn't made for running 26.21875 miles across London. He is designed to look over people’s fences, bang his head and change light bulbs. However, I will attempt to push my body through the gruelling challenge of the London Marathon for the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION which is a very worthy charity who fund thousands of research projects fighting heart disease.
I have set myself a target of £2,500 (every penny raised going directly to BHF) and I hope you can kindly propel me along to reaching this goal. I have a number of charity fundraising days planned standing outside supermarkets across London and Cambridge with my British Heart Foundation bucket. I am also hosting a pub quiz too (http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/funday-monday-marathon-pub-quiz-tickets-15926744321).
Why the British Heart Foundation...?
- Deaths from heart & circulatory
disease remains the biggest killer in the UK.
- Almost 1 in 5 men and 1 in 8 women die
from heart disease.
- Heart Disease is responsible for 82,000
deaths in the UK each year, an average of 224 people each day.
- Every year 1 in every 145 babies are
born in the UK with a congenital heart defect.
- There are nearly 2.7 million people
living with heart disease in the UK
We can all make a difference! So thank you so
much for your donation - it really means a lot to me and the British Heart
Foundation.
