UPDATE: I DID IT!
I finished in 4hrs 59mins. I trained for 4hrs 30mins, but met some Macmillan Cancer Care skivers who I ended up running with, and they trained for 5 hours. Glad I did run with them, it was a great day and I really got to enjoy the support from the crowds. There weren't too many Brits, or charity runners in Berlin, so it was nice to be in a gang. Thanks very much to all of you who sponsored me to raise money for the RNLI, it really makes a difference to them.
If you know of others who wanted to sponsor and didn't get the chance this page will be open for another couple of months for donations.
Thanks again. I really appreciate your support and, yes, I suffered greatly in the cause of charity, you will be pleased to know.

The RNLI saves countless lives every year around our coastline. Its volunteers put their lives at risk daily to rescue those in trouble on the seas. It is only right that they are sent out to do this dangerous job with the right equipment. Please sponsor me to run 26.2 miles around Berlin to make their job safer.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. COME ON, LET'S MAKE THE CHANCELLOR COUGH UP SOME OF THAT FUEL TAX!
I am paying my own way to Berlin, so every penny goes to the charity.
Thanks very much for your support, and it must surely be a bargain to donate a little to post some abuse on my page!
