This August, I'll be hiking to the summit (hopefully) of the tallest mountain in Japan. At 12,388ft above sea level, it stands almost three times taller than our own Ben Nevis, so it should provide a decent (if terrifying) challenge!

This will be a self funded expedition, and every penny raised will go straight to my preferred charity, SAMH.

SAMH is the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

One in four people in Scotland will have a mental health problem at some point in their life. This means that you may know someone with a mental health problem.

Through donations, SAMH are able to provide direct help through community based support and raise awareness through national campaigns.
