Story
I’m running the 2022 London Marathon!
An absolute bucket-list moment right here. I’m so psyched to be given the chance to run for such an amazing charity in the NSPCC. I always wanted younger siblings to look out for which in the end wasn’t possible. So to be given the opportunity to help make a difference to just one child’s life, all through doing something I love, is particularly touching.
At the same time I’m absolutely terrified!! I run quite a lot but for the past few years I’ve been living with a chronic illness. It means my health is very up and down and makes lot of things, including sport, extremely hard. I rarely talk about it as I always try to stay positive and not let it stop me from doing the things I want to.
In all honesty I've no idea how my body will cope. But thousands of children across the UK are in a much less fortunate position than I am, so while I'm scared about taking on such a big challenge I know the thought of them, along with your support, will spur me on.
Anything at all that you can donate will be massively appreciated. I'll love you a milli for it, and to be honest with the amount of training I'm going to have to do, I'll probably run to wherever you live to say a personal thank-you (in a non-creepy way...)
Lots of love. Ash x
