Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and reading about my fundraising and volunteering journey!

I have been selected to volunteer overseas with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) on an International Citizen Service placement to Nepal. ICS works with communities which have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

The first goal of my placement will be to raise £800 to go towards the work of VSO and their ICS partners. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, who finance volunteer placements completely, aided by the funds that we raise. This ensures that youth volunteers can continue to be sent to disadvantaged communities in the developing world and make a lasting difference.

Amongst other things, I'll be taking part in a three-month project focusing on education within a community in Nepal. I am very excited to contribute in this, as I believe in global responsibility. Also, I think it will be a life-changing experience to work within such different culture to my own!
