Fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Challenge: to ride 115km, or the equivalent of cycling from Oxford to Bristol while climbing the equivalent of the height of Snowdon through the rolling Oxfordshire countryside as part of Bike Oxford 2021.
The Team: Ashley & Kate work for Metro bank & HMG Law respectively. They are part of the Oxfordshire business community and are always
happy to take on a challenge to raise money for a worthy cause. While Ashley regularly competes at triathlon and Kate at rowing, cycling this distance is not something that will be easy.
The Charity: Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital.
Their Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.
They help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, they need your support.
The Goal: Ashley and Kate are aiming to raise £1,150 or the equivalent of £10 per kilometer.
