We brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, between the ages of 3-18, across the United Kingdom by granting their wish and supporting them in hospitals and hospices.

Story

Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and support the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles. Please visit the link below to learn more:https://raysofsunshine.org.uk/the-charity/

This is my 2nd event with Rays of Sunshine, I completed the Prudential Ride London (a 100 mile bike ride) in 2019 and I’m thrilled to be on their team for 2023 London Marathon.  I’m going to be 50 in 2023 and my goal is to raise £100 for every year of my life, a small contribution to the charity in fulfilling the wishes of children who are terminally or seriously ill.

I very much appreciate your support, thank you.

We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.
