Sadly no one knows whether they have been affected by asbestos until symptoms start to show and although those in the construction industry are more at risk than others, anyone can be affected at any time.

I have chosen to fundraise for Mesothelioma UK for this reason and also in honour of a friends exposure to this disease; her mother passed away less than a year after diagnosis.

Any donation to Mesothelioma UK is much appreciated, as it’s a rarer cancer (affecting just 0.8% of cancer sufferers) it doesn't receive as many donations, but is just as worthy.
