Story

As some of you may be aware, in February 2009 I signed up to a six-week training programme ran in Oadby. The 'Morning Bootcamp', is ran 3 times a week over a period of six weeks. There is a mixture of energising exercises ranging from bleep and endurance tests, indoor and outdoor circuits, outdoor runs, cardio-kicks as well as 'relaxing' pilates/ yoga and much more! Having done this for 12 months now, I feel I need to make it worthwhile not only on a personal level but by adding a challenge of fundraising.

There are many people in Leicestershire who are diagnosed with various illnesses, some of which are sadly terminal. To make their lives a lot more comfortable, LOROS (Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for Relief and Suffering) provides care and support to those people. What is remarkable about this Charity is that they do not charge a fee for the care and support they provide. I have therefore chosen to contribute to the fantastic work they are doing by doing a sponsored 'weight loss', I hope to lose a lot and gain a lot!

Now some of you will be asking how could you sponsor me...well, I joined the bootcamp to loose weight and get in to shape.

Target: 90 - 95Kg. I am currently just over 104kg weighed on Monday 15th February 2010

How will I do it:

                           1) continue to attend morning bootcamps

                                       2) cycle to and from bootcamps (weather permitting)

                                                     3) cycle/ walk to work (if possible and weather permitting); and finally,

                                                                   4) a diet!!!

How will you know my progress:  I will update this page as well as my Facebook page:

So, I appeal to you to dig deep into your pockets and donate to a very worthy organisation that has helped many people including members of my family. If you want to know more about the Charity - please visit their website using this LOROS link. If you want to know more about or join the Morning Bootcamp visit their Facebook page - Morning Bootcamp or email Susan and Clare - leicesterbootcamp@hotmail.com

Thank you,

Ash

Wednesday 17th February 2010.

It was not that easy this morning, biking to Manor Road at 6am! then a workout! then a ride back home! All in all, it was tough...when I got to Manor Road, everyone else was warming up...while I was cooling down!! and this is only, Day 2 of my challenge!

Thank you to everone who has donated so far brining total upto £140.00, I appreciate your support and wishes!

Friday 19th February 2010

The Bootcamp this morning was led by Daren, a fellow Bootcamper...as I didn't bike it and the nature of the exercises we were doing, I volunteered to go twice on most of the exercises to make up for it!!All in the name of LOROS! Any way, having enjoyed today's workout, Susan has weighed me...and Impleased to say, I've lost 2lb since Monday...now only 10lb to go! It seems that this dieting of fruit and salad, is working!!! Not too sure about tonight, when we go for Morning Bootcamp's first Birthday celebrations...to a world buffet!!!

I would like to say thank you again, for everyone who has donatedgenerously...it certainly working towards my target of raising £500!

Tuesday 2nd March 2010

I was weighed on Friday, and was pleased I lost another 1lb...only another 10lb or so to go! Thank you to all who have contributed since, I have also had some offline donations which I have added.

I have also added more photos of morning bootcamp, most from the current one and a few from the one in the summer!

I've lost another 1lb...although I am loosing weight, I am on target to getting my weight in the 90'sKg!

In a bid to loose more weight, I'm also hoping to do a run before each bootcamp...but we shall see how it goes!
