Story

We at Ashfield Juniors Academy FC aim to collectively cover the 860 miles from Ashfield Stadium in Glasgow to Wembley stadium and home again in honour of Mary Gilchrist aged 69, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. The young boys and coaches will abide by lockdown restrictions and cycle or run whatever distance they can. We will collect this info and update this page on distance and time taken. The proceeds will be given to Pancreatic Cancer Scotland. Mary's family are connected throughout Ashfield Academy, from coaches , child wellbeing officer and club ambassador to grandsons and nephews playing at the youngest level and not forgetting fans of the club.

Thank you for your help and contributions.
