Event: Barcelona - Ibiza: Row to End HPV 2023, from 15 July 2023 to 29 July 2023
NOMAN raises awareness of the HPV-related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for gender-neutral HPV vaccination. HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, and we can prevent these simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV.

Story

My three teammates and I will be competing in the '2023 NOMAN is an island race to end HPV', where we will be rowing from Ibiza to Barcelona at the end of July. We will be doing our best to get from start to finish in as quick a time as possible, whilst battling the fierce Mediterranean heat and navigating busy shipping lanes.

The charity NOMAN raises awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination, while challenging participants to extreme endurance races across the world. HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, yet the vast majority of people remain unaware of the link between the two outside of cervical cancer. We can prevent HPV cancers simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV. The HPV-vaccine is a cancer preventing vaccine, and presents the greatest opportunity we've had to prevent cancer in decades. Over 40 countries now protect both boys and girls against HPV. We won't stop until every country is doing so.

My fundraising target is £5,000 and I'm seeking £50 from 100 people, or whatever you can give in support of our efforts. Should you wish to personalise a message then please feel free to do so.

Thank you for your support!

Oceans are now battlefields...
