Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I appreciate these are here, there and everywhere at the minute so apologies for peppering you with another one. I appreciate life is tough but if you can spare anything at all for the pleasure of me suffering then please do, even if it is only 50p it is a worthwhile cause!
Just to be clear, before I start, I am no runner, not at all... In fact I have never been more heavy or unhealthy in my life... Something I wholeheartedly blame my wife for!
Nevertheless, this morning (10th Jan) we were (again) at The Children's Hospital @ The John Radcliffe, Oxford and I saw a poster on the door for people to put themselves through a 5 mile run to raise money for the hospital... Having been on the receiving end of some incredible care, support and surgery for the last year with our 5 month old daughter, Penelope, I can honestly say that it is an incredibly worthwhile cause for an incredible hospital.
Penelope was diagnosed at 20wks with a Complete Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate, she was born 2 weeks late via emergency c-section on the 3rd August. On November 12th she underwent major surgery to close the cleft lip, reposition her airways and reposition her nose. The care, precision and results have been incredible and something as parents we are eternally grateful for and will continue to be grateful for as her operations and care continue into her late teens. It's hard to imagine just how incredible the people at The JR are, right from her dedicated surgeon to the psychologists, paedeatricians, nurses, administrators and even the staff at Pret!
Thank you for your time!
