Story
I am taking part in a sponsored walk to raise funds for an excellent cause (PTSD Resolution), and on 7-8th July will be walking Hadrian's Wall in 2 days - that's a staggering 42 miles a day! This will be a gruelling and challenging task and all in memory of my brother, Owen. Please help support this cause if you can.
Some of you may know that tragically, at the age of 26, my brother Owen took his own life. Owen was suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) following two tours of Afghanistan between 2008 and 2012 as a serving Royal Marines Commando with 45 CDO. His first tour of duty was as part of Operation Herrick 9, a particularly “brutal” operation and he was the youngest Commando at only 18. He was commended for his commando spirit and described as a “hoofing” soldier.
I am absolutely lost and devastated at the loss of Owen, however am also keen to try and ensure that others, like him, do not suffer in the way he did therefore we would like to bring to the attention of others a wonderful charity organisation that can help with the difficulties experienced by Owen.
PTSD Resolution have proved they can make a difference and by raising awareness of their existence we hope this will generate more interest and funding. I would welcome any support you could add to these efforts and all donations via this page will go directly to PTSD Resolution.
Thanks for reading my story
