Story
My name is Nick Bryant and i am a bit of an obsessive runner.
On Saturday 25 September i will be running from St James Park, Exeter to Huish Park, Yeovil (some 50 or so miles away) in memory of the late Adam Stansfield. Joining me will be a number of cyclists, walkers and runners all wishing to play their part in this commemoration of Adam.
Adam's brother Paul is very keen to join us and will run the fifty or so miles in memory of his brother. It seems very fitting to mark the passing of a man who ran and ran and ran for the cause with a running-related to challenge. Paul joining us has only added more meaning to the event and will hopefully allow us to raise yet more for a most fantastic and worthy cause.
Adam was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April 2010 and battled bravely and never seemed to lose his spirit. Many of us prayed for his recovery and to see him scoring again in front of the Big Bank.
Sadly Adam's battle with cancer was to be unsuccessful and he died on 11 August 2010. We hope that by running in aid of cancer research we can help to raise vital funds to fight it. Perhaps in our own small way we can make a contribution to stop the tragic death of young men and women and can bring something positive out of a desperately sad time.
Further details about the challenge and updates will be available thru http://grecianredruns.blogspot.com/ in due course. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
