Clive Wilson is an artist, poet and a coach and facilitator of Purposeful Leadership with Primeast Ltd in Harrogate. He is also author of several books including “Designing the Purposeful Organization” and “Designing the Purposeful World”.
Pertinent to this exhibition, Clive chairs the Harrogate Branch of the United Nations Association (UNA). One of the branch’s longest serving members is Ann Hodgson. At one of the UNA meetings in 2019, Ann engaged fellow UNA members on the subject of Yemen and
the awful humanitarian tragedy which continues to play out in that part of the world.
Ann wanted to do something practical to help and engaged with the press to raise awareness. She also became aware of the much needed work of Save the Children and decided to raise some money for the cause. Clive offered to help out and donated some of his paintings for Ann to exhibit. An exhibition at Pannal Methodist Church in Harrogate raised over £600 in 2019. Ann agreed with Clive to set up another exhibition in Leyburn during 2020 but, sadly, the pandemic of that year prohibited much progress,
We are therefore delighted to hold this exhibition at the fabulous Garden Room at Tennants in Leyburn during February and March 2021. Tennants will administer the exhibition and make donations from the sale of the paintings to this Just Giving page.
Of course, we hope you will get the chance to visit the exhibition. Aside from the sale of paintings, we will be delighted if you feel inspired to make a donation through this page anyway. Please be
reassured that Clive has donated all the paintings and is not charging for any material or other costs. That is his gift to this worthy cause.
