The Safe Parking Program provides a welcoming environment, meaningful resources, and dignified support for individuals and families living out of their vehicles as they transition back into stable housing.

Story

I was touched by this story of a man who had his own HVAC business.  He rented a truck and stopped to help someone on the side of the road. According to Alexis Rivas of Channel 7 News,  the rental truck was set on fire by an arsonist, probably a serial arsonist.

Jeremy lost all his tools for his work as a "plumber HVAC Electric worker".  Now he has no way to make a living.

He says he has $5000 worth of tools.  With inflation, it might take him $7500 to replace the tools and maybe another $1800 for lost income.
