Story
Around Wales in 80 days.
‘It’s a walk of hope for the hospital of hope. It’s 80 days of my life that, with your support, will make a lifetime’s difference for families in Wales.’
Today, one in two people in the UK will have one form of cancer or another. That means that many, many families will be affected as well. It’s a constant living reality, with no family left untouched
by it.
That’s why Tim Openshaw, father of two, has decided to take on the challenging and gruelling 870 mile walk around the Welsh Coastal Pathway. He believes it can make an essential difference.
‘Velindre are doing such a sterling work as the premier cancer specialists in Wales,’ says company director Tim from Cardiff,
‘They really need to be supported in every way possible. Walking this walk is the least I can do to help contribute to the funds that are so essential to the treatment that they offer to so many in Wales.’
‘It’s a walk of hope for the hospital of hope. It’s 80 days of my life that, with your support, will make a lifetime’s difference for families in Wales.’
Tim Openshaw is the co-founder of St David’s World, a social network that links Welsh people across the world. Over 700 Welsh communities come together on this platform, linking 2 million people of Welsh origin in the four corners of the globe.
What a difference can be made to the fight against cancer in Wales if St David’s World and Velindre join forces. Through Tim’s walk, that will happen. Through your support it will be a meaningful success.
Please let’s do this together. Diolch!
