Story
From Arlo: Last year my Grandpa found out he had blood cancer and for the last few months he's been going through a treatment of chemo and recently had a bone marrow transplant. This has gone really well.
It's not easy to find someone who can be the bone marrow donor, but we were really lucky that The Anthony Nolan charity helped to find the right person. My Grandpa is now on the mend.
So me and my Grandpa would like to do something to say thank you to the Anthony Nolan Charity. That's why I'm doing this sponsored walk.
I am 11 years old and I'm doing a 136 mile sponsored walk to help my grandpa to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Charity. I'm walking the John Muir Way. It's really far! From the East coast to the West coast of Scotland. Dunbar to Helensburgh.
So please donate if you can. All of the money goes straight to the Anthony Nolan Charity and if you are between 16 and 30 years old, you can add your name to the Anthony Nolan register and if your blood matches someone who needs it, they will call you to ask for your help. It's really easy. You can sign up here: https://www.anthonynolan.org/8-ways-you-could-save-life/donate-your-stem-cells
