Story
In January 2020, Arley's best friend was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 6. Arley was there from the start, visiting the hospital and watching his dear friend start his brave battle. Covid hit and the boys were separated even further, but their friendship prevailed and they continued to FaceTime and have virtual sleep overs when they could. Nothing was going to stop them. July 2021 came around and just as we thought things would start to become 'easier' for the boys to be together, our little Arley was diagnosed on 15th July with TALL (T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia), aged 8. Arley started his treatment on 16th July.
On the 22nd of September, Arley will be turning 9. When asked what he wanted to do for his birthday, he asked if he could do a sponsored walk for CCLG in honour of 'gold month'. When asked why he wanted to do the walk, Arley simply said, "to stop children suffering and to help children survive". Despite being in the thick of his own treatment plan, on Saturday 25th September, Arley will attempt to walk/scoot a sponsored walk to help raise awareness of children with cancer and Leukaemia.
