Story
I'm taking part in 31 miles in March to support people living with lung cancer, in memory of my dad, Tony Finnigan, who we lost to lung cancer in November 2005, and my mum, Barbara Finnigan, who we lost to lung cancer last December.
Throughout the month, I will walk 100 miles to help raise money for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the UK's only charity solely dedicated to supporting everyone affected by lung cancer... and that's a lot of people! Probably many more than would think including people you would never expect to get the disease.Over 48,500 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK every year. The majority face an incurable diagnosis, making lung cancer the UK's biggest cancer killer by taking the lives of more people than breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers combined.Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is there for everyone affected - from those living with the disease to those caring for a loved one with lung cancer - as well as working tirelessly to improve early diagnosis when it is possible to cure lung cancer.
