Steve and I both are really happy you have decided to visit our JustGiving page!

When I was 17 years old, I was an exchange student in Southampton, England. It was here, in my host family, that I met someone very special to me with Autism. We had so much in common - everything from our love of country estate gardens, to castles, to disney movies. Most importantly, he showed me kindness and welcomed me (an American stranger) into his family. 

His welcoming nature and sweetness has stayed with me ever since. To thank him, I wanted to give something back. To some of you, a 5k run might be a walk in the park - to others it might be unimaginable- but for Steve and me, it is a perfect opportunity for us to stay fit and stimulate our minds. A sparked mind is engaged to learn.
