Story
At the height of the pandemic, I started running again after a hiatus in college due to shin splints. Running helped me through some of the toughest periods throughout the pandemic, so when I moved back to DC from London, I was determined to join a running club and found community in DRC and North East Track Club. Having only ever ran short distances in high school on my school's track and cross country teams, I never imagined that I'd be able to run a marathon, but my incredible friends at DRC and NETC have shown me that it's possible. It seems quite fitting that I will soon find myself back in London where I began to set these wheels in motion almost three years ago. I am thrilled to be supporting Make-A-Wish® UK in the marathon. Thank you so much for your support!
Make-A-Wish® UK creates life-changing wishes that revive the childhood that critical illness takes away, bringing light and joy at the darkest of times for a child and their loved ones. But right now, there are 60,000 children in the UK living with a critical condition, and they don’t have the resources to be that light for everyone. Your generous support will help them step closer to achieving their vision: to grant a wish to every eligible child. Together, we have the power to light up the darkness.
