Story
On the 14th of June this year I was diagnosed with Endometriosis after an 11 year fight to get answers for my symptoms. Endometriosis affects (at least) 1 in 10 women, and can cause debilitating symptoms that can drastically reduce quality of life.
Despite this, it is an incredibly under-researched and misunderstood condition. It is for this reason that I decided to spend 4 years undertaking a PhD in how to better diagnose Endo.
I still have 2 years left until I submit my final thesis, so in the meantime I thought I'd raise some money for Endometriosis research by running my first ever half marathon.
I made a promise to myself that if I managed to finally get diagnosed, I'd run in support of the cause. This is a very tall order for someone who has in the past, and I quote, said they are "allergic to cardio".
Any donation, no matter how little, means the absolute world to me. This is a cause very near & dear to my heart and is so incredibly important.
