Story
Hello! I'm running the London Marathon in memory of one of my oldest and dearest friends.
Mental health research in the UK is massively underfunded and my chosen charity are doing some incredible things to help change that.
Their scientists investigate a huge range of issues, so I'm hoping to raise some much needed funds to increase scientific understanding and hopefully help people overcome some of the issues that Jamie did too.
This is the first time I'll competitively run long distance since the 1997 Croydon 10k where I broke down in tears at the halfway point!
Your donations would therefore be such a boost for my training and motivation; but most importantly could pay for:
£15 - analyses chemical changes in 3 people, which helps reveal the risk of reveal mental health condition development
£60 - enables one person to go through a trial course of innovative, targeted treatment
£1900 - ensures a panel of people with lived experiences of mental illness can advise an entire research project

Thank you so much for reading.
Lots of love,
