Numerous employees from Ardagh Barnsley will be taking part in a number of scheduled events over the coming year to raise funds to support the Comfort and Care Campaign for Barnsley Hospice.

This is a planned project to see 10 en-suite bedrooms transformed, to include specialist beds, integral hoists, air conditioning and piped oxygen which will allow the nurses to ensure the best care possible. 

Our friend and colleague Dave Tattershall was diagnosed with cancer, he was very private about his illness but has very bravely shown what amazing support and care Barnsley Hospice provides by sharing his experiences and backing the Comfort and Care Campaign.  Sadly, Dave lost his fight to cancer and passed away on 14th February, Valentines Day.

Dave made a request to Ardagh for everyone's help in raising funds to support his cause, therefore over the coming year we will be taking part in a number of events.

After a fantastic effort from the team completing the Sheffield Half Marathon, a group will now take on the immense task of cycling from our Ardagh Irvine Plant (Scotland), through to our Ardagh Plants in Yorkshire (Doncaster/Barnsley)

This is a multi-day 265 mile monster of a ride taking place 8th-9th June.
