This is quite emotional to write, as I lost my Dad at the end of February this year, just 2 days before his 65th Birthday. He had retired last year and was diagnosed with prostate cancer the month after.

So following his passing I was determined to take the fight to prostate cancer and, with thanks to the generous sponsorship (£1350) of MMG Archbold, Chartered Accountants, will be joining a pelaton of positivity as we fight back for our friends and loved ones, with an epic cycling journey. Leaving from Lee Valley Park Velo-Drome in London, out to Harwich (80 miles), then overnight ferry to Hook of Holland before a final 77 mile stretch up to Amsterdam.

Those of you who know me will know that I enjoy running first and am a fair weather cyclist second, so this is an exciting challenge for me. I am really looking forward to meeting 400 other keen cyclists, ex-footballers and determined family members looking to put prostate cancer back in its place. This is my first cycling challenge, and this one is for my Dad.
