Story
I'm thrilled to be participating in the upcoming London Marathon, I'm using this opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Cancer has touched the lives of those dear to me, including my school friend Ben and my niece Odille.
Ben was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022. Ben fought hard against cancer and remained positive and strong. Ben lost his hard fought battle in April 2023. He received high-quality medical care and support throughout his diagnosis from Macmillan Cancer Support. I will be dedicating the run to the memory of Ben Stiles, a truly one-of-a-kind human being who never failed to brighten a room with laughter. Ben you will be forever missed!
My niece Odille, after receiving excellent care and support throughout her Hodgkin lymphoma treatment, recently received the all-clear. I want to celebrate Odille's triumphant victory against cancer and channel her strength to motivate my marathon run.
I have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support because of their unwavering commitment to assisting cancer patients and their families. Their mission is to provide access to the best care possible during their cancer journey. By running the London Marathon and fundraising for Macmillan, I aim to contribute to the ongoing battle against this devastating disease.
