Story
So...we were thinking of fundraising ideas...
...and I have volunteered to cycle from Reading to Bath (84 miles) along the Kennet and Avon Canal! Jon, Josh, Jo and myself will be cycling together.
The plan is to cycle the 84 miles over 2 days, camping over night half way. The dates we are going to do it are 10-11th June (Thurs-Fri).
The money will be used to fund the AMAZE project. AMAZE is a multimedia interactive project for 10-11 year olds. The aim of the project is to show the children that they are USA, Unique, Special and Amazing.
The project focuses on decision making with the emphasis on health, individuality and independence. During the project the pupils enter five different zones, and an interactive maze.
But like all things in life, AMAZE is costly, it costs £6000 in order for us to run two weeks of AMAZE.
However, in that time we will reach over 600 children. Just think 600
children empowered to make their own choices, 600 children introduced to
resisting peer pressure, 600 young people discovering how to make healthy choices.
Let’s make it easy:
£10 would enable one child to go through our Amaze project and if 600 of you donate £10 we would raise our target.
£600 would pay for one day of Amaze.
£300 would sponsor one whole year 6 class to visit our project.
£5 would pay for the milkshakes and fruit kebabs made by one class of
children.
£2 would pay for fruit kebabs for a class.
And only £1 would pay for a milkshake and a fruit kebab for one child.
So please give generously!!!
