Five very eager (some may say foolish) friends are taking on a 24hr run relay from 3pm Friday 22nd May 2020 until 3pm Saturday 23rd May 2020. This will basically be as follows:
One of us will set off from home and run for 1 hour. On their return, they will alert the next person in the team who will do the same. This process will continue amongst the 5 of us non-stop for 24hrs.
The participants:
- Harry Brown
- Stephen Day
- John Desbois
- John Moody
- Nick Phillips
- Supported by injured Skipper Neil Gamester.
You will be able to follow all runners during the event via their Strava accounts. Simply login in to www.strava.com and search the athlete you wish to follow.

This challenge is a precursor to our main event taking place in 2021!
In the summer of 2021, the Ark to Arc Guys are taking on the ultimate triathlon. This will see us setting off from the Noah’s Ark Hospice in Barnet, North London, running to Dover, then swimming the English Channel before cycling from Calais to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris!
So why are we doing this? (ask our wives...)
When we conceived the idea to undertake the Ark to Arc challenge in September 2019, the plan was to raise as much money as we can for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, but since then the world has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for a good deed is required more than ever. As you may be aware, charities have been hit hard financially and as our challenge isn’t until next year, we would like to do something to help Noah’s Ark now.
In one years time we’ll be asking you to dig deep and support our struggle to Paris, but in meantime we need your help now and that's why we had to think of another fundraising event that we can undertake which falls in line with the government advice on social distancing and exercising etc.
Therefore, if you are in position to support this wonderful cause during this most challenging of times, please give what you can and sponsor our 24 Run for Noah's Ark.
We would all like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
As a result of the Coronavirus, many of our fundraising activities and events have been cancelled. Noah's Ark Children's Hospice are going to have a shortfall of around £2 million out of a budget of £3.5 million. The children we support at Noah's Ark are the most vulnerable to coronavirus - will you help us to raise money so we can continue to support children and families that so desperately need our help?
