Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Zoe, I am an ambassador for the OddBalls foundation. April is testicular cancer awareness month and we will be trying to raise as much money as possible through fundraisers for a great cause.
Our main event will be a skydive, where I will be doing my first ever jump alongside the liverpool skydivers who will jump solely in their oddballs underwear (freezing!!!!)- With an aim raise some awareness and hopefully lots of money for the charity too!
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer for men aged 15-49 which is why it is known as the young mans cancer. I recently visited a school where I gave a talk to their students, one of the teachers approached me and said that she lost 3 of her friends to testicular cancer before they were 18. This shocked me, especially as she said that they never had anyone tell them how important it was to check their balls or where to go if they have concerns. This proved how important our work is, to break down the stigmas surrounding conversations about testicular cancer and spreading the important message to speak about balls and seek help. Hopefully by raising money and awareness this April we can reach more young men and save lives!
