Apraxia Kids is the leading nonprofit that strengthens the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

As a staff, Awareness Month is one of our favorite times of the year. Apraxia Awareness Month illuminates the strength of our community. It gives us the opportunity to celebrate all of the Apraxia Stars working hard to find their voices. It allows us to expand the conversation about childhood apraxia of speech to the broader community that might have never heard the word "apraxia" before. It gives all of us the chance to make an impact.

Our hometown of Pittsburgh is often called the “City of Bridges” as the countless roadways spanning our rivers and streams allow us to connect. We are humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to build connections with all of you, not only during Awareness Month, but all year round.
