Story
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men (and 1 in 4 black men) in the UK. Treatments can be effective but also may have side effects. The Advanced Prostate Cancer Club provides support, education and activities for men with advanced prostate cancer and men on hormone therapy (also called androgen deprivation therapy).
All our activities and events aim to provide support, information about prostate cancer and hormone therapy and its effects and how to live well on therapy. Importantly they also offer men the chance to meet other men and loved ones on the same journey. Money donated will help us to continue to deliver this service.
Our services and activities happen both online and in person and include exercise groups, walking groups, art classes, a film club in the Guys Cinema and various educational and social events!
Thank you for your support!
"Thanks so much for today. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was great being in the company of such a friendly, understanding and genuinely nice group of people."
"Meeting the other people in the group and talking to them and sharing the experiences of their prostate cancer journey was an eye opener. It made us realise that everybody has a different story to tell and that we are not on our own.”
