Story

Two Sisters Who Just Can't Stop

A change in lifestyle, due to the pandemic meant Aoife and Sorcha Hegarty from Roscommon had to come to terms with the new ‘normal’.

Special Olympics has been part of their lives since the age of 10 and 11 and before joining their local Special Olympics Club, Aoife and Sorcha’s parents would never have thought the girls would be able to live independently. But here they are, thriving in life.

Being a part of Special Olympics has enabled Aoife and Sorcha to gain the independence and confidence to be unstoppable.

Please dig deep so we can continue to help Aoife, Sorcha and other athletes like them live a fulfilling life.

About the charity
